About Us
The primary function of Ekiti State Lotteries & Gaming Commission is to approve, protect the playing public, regulate all gaming activities these include Public Online Lottery, Online Sports Betting, Casino, Promotional Competitions, Scratch Card & Interactive Games, Gaming Machines, Pools Betting and ‘Other Games’.


Our History
Established 2012.
The Ekiti State Lotteries and Gaming Commission was enacted by the House of Assembly of Ekiti State in 2012. It is a body cooperate with perpetual succession and a common seal: To regulate lotteries and gaming business, promote transparency, accountability while protecting the interests of players, stakeholders and the general public.

commission is charged with responsibility to regulates and issues retail, virtual / on-line Gaming through obtaining Operation Accord to the following gaming categories which includes but not limited to Public Online Lottery, Online Sports Betting, Scratch Cards, Interactive games, Casino, Gaming machine, Pool betting, Other lotteries (promotional competition), Remote gaming, Online and Retail gaming and related activities with the jurisdiction of Ekiti State, in line with global best practices.
promotes responsible gaming and protect under age involvement, conducts surveillance, inspection, and compliance exercises on operators within Ekiti State in addition to ensuring all license fees, gaming levies/Good Causes Levy (GCL), promo and draw fees, penalties and license renewal fees are promptly paid to the Ekiti State Government account.

Mr. Omotayo Fasuhanmi
Executive Chairman
A seasoned Administrator, joined the National Lottery Regulatory Commission in 2011: Where he headed Ilorin Zonal Office that covered Five States (Kwara, Kogi, Ekiti, Niger and Ondo State).
In 2013, he was transferred to Ibadan Zonal Office because of the incessant conflict between the State and the Federal on the Gaming Regulatory matters. His vast knowledge in the business made him resolve the conflicting interest between the Federal and State levels. While in Ibadan, he was able to successfully coordinate the affairs in the Lotteries and Gaming Business between the Federal and the State. His role as a Zonal Coordinator, was majorly IGR generation to the Federal Government (NLRC), Implementing strategies for interrelationship between Federal and State Government. Having periodic assessment on the performances of all gaming licensees. After his service at NLRC in 2023, by the Grace of God joined Ekiti State Lotteries and Gaming Commission as the Executive Chairman, where he has transformed the business of Lotteries and Gaming in the State. He had Bsc, Business Administration,(Unilag). MBA, (NOUN). Phd, in view.
